The Artisan Collection
These premium dance props are made from 100% high-grade habotai silk for an elegant, light & floaty effect.
Each piece is made with love, using the best quality dyes, glue & thread on the market for durability and impactful visuals - including UV reactive options!
Fans are made with natural bamboo staves with each veil professionally hemmed to ensure longevity.
Due to the nature of hand-dyeing and complex colour gradients, each set of veils created is different from the last - making them unique stand-alone creations & cherished gifts.
Bespoke art requires time and care, therefore I release a limited collection only a few times per year.
If there are no Artisan items visible in the shop - this means I am in the creation portal.
Occasionally I host a live auction for special edition items via my shop Instagram page.

The Studio Series
The Studio Series 100% Silk Fans are crafted in small batches by my trained team rather than my own hands. The colour designs are State Of Flow Signature’s - produced in a way that’s cost-friendly and more frequently than my Artisan releases.
Each set is hemmed with matching colour thread for lasting edges.
These are made with a different grade of silk and may occasionally feature some minor weave stretches or pin holes from the sewing process, however these quirks are rarely visible when the silks are in motion.
Every item is quality checked by me personally before it’s sent off.
Whilst they are a different tier to my Artisan fans - they are a perfect choice for those wanting to train, flow at dusty festivals or to prolong the life of your treasured set.
Acknowledgment of Silk Fan Traditions
Fans have a long and meaningful history across many cultures - originating in ancient China over 2,000 years ago, fans made of bamboo and silk emerged during the Han Dynasty
Used in court rituals and later evolving into a form of cultural performance that symbolised beauty, grace, and harmony with nature
Fans have since spread to Japanese dance, theatre, and ritual, Spanish flamenco and more recently been adopted by the belly dance, burlesque and modern circus community’s
Each tradition carries its own symbolism and artistry

While my creations are used as contemporary flow arts props designed for modern dance and movement practices, I honor and acknowledge these roots
My work is not a reproduction of traditional cultural forms, but a re-imagining for today’s performing arts movement
By sharing this context, I hope to celebrate the beauty of fans across time while contributing my own artistic expression to their ongoing story

Eco-Friendly Packaging
I strive to be as kind to the earth as possible by using compostable packaging slips which are 100% plastic free
These satchels are made from cornstarch and are designed to use twice, simply cut along the line on the flap and re-use it with the second adhesive strip.
If its no longer useable, you can cut it up and pop it into your compost/green bin.
Once composted properly, the material will start to break down and turn into amazing fertiliser for the garden.
